Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team at Providence Swedish. As a key member of our Clinical Engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation of medical equipment across our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including electro-mechanical devices and specialized test equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and other documentation to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Assemble and disassemble moderately complex electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify equipment needs and develop solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology or related field from an accredited program.
  • Eligibility for AAMI/BMET certification upon hire.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
