Core Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with the admission and discharge processes of patients.
  • Support patients in personal care and daily living activities.
  • Communicate any changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional states to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient records.
  • Ensure patient rooms are kept clean and organized, along with the upkeep of medical equipment.
Qualifications

Required Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer. Acceptable certifications include those from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Nurse Aide certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing is required prior to hire or transfer.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or at least one year of relevant job experience is required.
  • Note: Professional licensure or certification may substitute for education or experience if applicable.
