Position: Rehabilitation Technician
The Rehabilitation Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of therapy services. This position involves the safe and effective transportation of residents to therapy sessions, assisting therapists during treatments, and accompanying residents on outings. Additionally, the technician is responsible for the setup and upkeep of therapy equipment, performing light administrative tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized rehabilitation environment.
- Ensure safe and efficient transportation of residents to therapy and other designated areas.
- Assist and accompany residents on outings, which may occur during late afternoon hours.
- Oversee the setup and maintenance of equipment utilized in therapy and related activities.
- Support therapists and nursing staff with daily care and therapy as needed.
- Communicate effectively with therapists and nurses regarding resident performance and participation in care activities.
- Direct any inquiries about residents' conditions or care plans to the appropriate nursing or therapy staff.
- Maintain an organized and clutter-free rehabilitation department.
- Assist with clerical tasks as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and demonstrate flexibility.
- Outstanding customer service skills are a must.
- Completion of a New York State approved CNA Training course and current CNA certification for resident outings is preferred.
- Physical capability to perform job-related tasks, including lifting and moving loads up to 50 lbs. as necessary.
- Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but not mandated; vaccinations are offered based on CDC eligibility guidelines.
