We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Nursing Manager to join our team at Surgicare of South Austin. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical management and expertise to our operating room nurses, surgical technicians, and central sterile processing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise all surgical areas of care to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators and other stakeholders to drive business growth and excellence.
- Develop and implement clinical practice standards and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Ensure sufficient staffing daily by notifying your team of scheduling changes and adjusting staffing levels as needed.
- Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care provided to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
- Provide breaks, ensure coverage for meal breaks, late cases, and staffing shortages to support your team's well-being and productivity.
- Monitor your clinical area to ensure materials are provided for upcoming cases and facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures.
- Delegate, coach, mentor, and handle conflict resolution with your team to build trust and gain respect.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- 1+ years applicable experience in leadership Required
- 1+ years applicable clinical experience Required
- Experience in OR (preferably in an ambulatory surgery setting)
- CNOR Preferred
- Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment online certification not acceptable
- ACLS as required by facility
