Radiologic Technologist I - General Diagnostic

Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center

The Radiologic Technologist I is accountable for executing a range of standardized imaging techniques, configuring and fine-tuning associated equipment, and maintaining pertinent documentation under the supervision of the Senior Imaging Staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) or eligibility for registration is required.
  • If eligible, candidates must successfully complete ARRT boards within six months of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year of relevant experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand consistently; walking and sitting are required occasionally.
  • Ability to lift/carry weights of 0-10 lbs frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally.
  • Capability to push/pull weights of 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally.
  • Constant reaching is necessary.
  • Manual dexterity for simple and firm grasping is required.

The individual in this role is responsible for conducting a variety of standardized imaging procedures, setting up and adjusting related apparatus, and maintaining necessary records under the guidance of the Senior Imaging Staff.
