Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while cultivating a restaurant-style dining experience.
  • Collaborate closely with the Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining offerings.
  • Assist the Culinary Director in supervising kitchen staff.
  • Support the preparation and implementation of LCB's Dining enhancement initiatives.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen and food storage areas at all times.
  • Oversee kitchen operations during opening and closing procedures.
  • Follow assigned cleaning schedules diligently.
  • Ensure compliance with food storage and preparation standards.
  • Estimate and communicate daily or weekly food and supply needs to the food service director or assistant.
  • Participate in meal preparation and cooking according to established recipes and menus.
  • Document food temperatures prior to service, as well as refrigeration and freezer temperatures.
  • Ensure snacks and beverages are readily available for residents.
  • Keep kitchen areas clean and organized, including regular sweeping and mopping.
  • Assist with the transportation and storage of food and supplies.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of special events, banquets, and themed meals.
Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Ability to cultivate positive relationships with associates, coworkers, and residents.
  • Dedicated to providing excellent customer service, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities, and open to feedback.
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining kitchen equipment in a sanitary manner, with knowledge of food handling and preparation.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes, production guides, and cleaning schedules.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a culinary role within hospitality or healthcare settings. Serve Safe Certification is required.Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or hospitality environment is advantageous.Certificates/Licenses: Serve Safe Certification is mandatory.Physical Requirements:
  • Dexterity to handle kitchen instruments and equipment.
  • Visual and auditory acuity.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs. and carry objects as needed.
  • Capability to push and pull carts, and to walk, sit, and stand continuously.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching as necessary.
