Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

The Clinical Dietitian will:

  • Establish and uphold the standards for medical nutrition therapy, ensuring high-quality care for patients.
  • Deliver direct patient care and nutritional counseling tailored to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes through effective nutrition strategies.

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree and Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) status from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Certification as a Certified Dietitian (CD) from the State of Washington, to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Specialty board certifications relevant to the specific area of practice.
  • A solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, and behavioral sciences.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic nutrition and safety practices in food science.
  • Strong counseling abilities and collaborative skills in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and strong mathematical skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

A Master's Degree is preferred, along with two years of experience in an acute care setting, or an advanced degree with one year of acute care and one year of outpatient experience.
