About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Disability Career Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing strong job leads and job placement assistance to participants, providing job readiness trainings and on-the-job training to individuals with disabilities, and building relationships with employer partners to promote effective collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a network of employer partners to secure job opportunities for participants
  • Provide job readiness trainings and on-the-job training to individuals with disabilities to enhance their employability skills
  • Collaborate with participants to identify career goals and develop strategies to achieve them
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, tracking client progress and reporting on outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field, and 1-3 years of experience in workforce development or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, employers, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
  • A deep commitment to disability inclusion in the workforce and a strong understanding of job development and job placement strategies
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Benefits

JVS Boston offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
