GENERAL PURPOSE

Position Summary: As a Key Account Manager with a focus on bioreactor solutions, you will be instrumental in executing our growth strategy within the biopharmaceutical industry. Your key responsibility will be to foster product adoption through consultative interactions with key stakeholders, transforming potential clients into enduring partnerships. You will utilize your comprehensive market knowledge and expertise in bioprocessing technologies to convey our compelling value proposition and establish long-term collaborations from pre-clinical phases to commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture robust relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.
- Identify client needs and challenges to effectively position our bioreactor solutions as vital to their scaling success.
- Sales and Business Development:
- Network effectively within large accounts, building relationships with C-Suite executives.
- Qualify leads and oversee the sales process from initial engagement to closure.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing arrangements to ensure beneficial outcomes for both clients and our organization.
- Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify key players, trends, and opportunities.
- Formulate and execute strategic business plans to penetrate target markets and meet sales objectives.
- Leverage CRM tools and sales analytics to monitor performance metrics and enhance sales processes.
- Technical Expertise and Support:
- Act as a technical authority on our bioreactor products, offering guidance and support to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to customize solutions that meet specific client needs.
- Market Positioning and Brand Awareness:
- Advocate for our brand and products through presentations, demonstrations, and participation in industry events.
- Work with marketing to create collateral and sales tools that effectively communicate product features and advantages.
- Assist in gathering and developing Voice of the Customer (VOC) insights for new products and services.
Minimum Qualifications:
The following qualifications are essential for successful performance in this role:
Knowledge/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Demonstrated success in business development and sales within the biopharmaceutical or cell therapy sectors, particularly in selling bioreactor systems.
- Strong grasp of cell therapy and bioprocessing technologies and industry standards.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% within the assigned territory as needed.
