Job Summary

Fresenius Medical Care Holdings, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Dialysis Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Dialysis Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines
  • Support the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide patient-specific education and support
  • Initiate and monitor dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders
  • Conduct regular patient assessments and document treatment outcomes
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities to enhance patient care and safety
  • Assist with training and education of new staff members
  • Support the organization's commitment to quality and patient satisfaction
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid PCT national certification or state-specific certification required
  • At least five years of patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred
  • Successful completion of Fresenius Medical Care's dialysis training program and CPR certification required
Working Conditions

The Dialysis Patient Care Technician will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, staff, and physicians. The position requires frequent standing, lifting, and moving of patients, as well as occasional travel to regional and corporate meetings.
