We are currently looking for a Piping Specialist to join our team. This role involves the layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for various industrial applications including steam, hot water, heating, cooling, and lubrication systems. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Foreman, with tasks assigned according to established procedures and frequent oversight.


Key Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a DISA background check and drug screening
  • NCCER certification is preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to four years of relevant experience, depending on skill level
  • Compliance with job site safety requirements as mandated by clients
  • Possession of necessary safety equipment as required by clients
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Functional Responsibilities:

The Piping Specialist will be responsible for selecting appropriate sizes and types of pipes and materials based on job specifications. This includes inspecting work sites for potential obstructions and ensuring structural integrity. The role requires planning installation sequences to avoid conflicts with other construction activities, cutting, threading, and bending pipes, as well as assembling and installing various pipe fittings made from materials such as brass, copper, lead, glass, and plastic. The specialist will join pipes using various methods, secure them with clamps and brackets, and maintain refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, including all associated controls and piping. Testing piping systems for leaks is also a critical function of this role.


Compensation

Compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Requirements:

The position may also require working in varying environmental conditions, including excessive heat or cold, and in loud settings.
