As an Experienced Manager in Partnership Taxation Solutions, you will primarily oversee consulting initiatives focused on Partnerships, specifically regarding IRS code 700 – 800 (notably 704), 1065 forms, and Subchapter K for a diverse clientele. You will have access to the necessary resources and support to excel in your role.
Your collaboration with the Partnership Transactions Solutions team will be essential, as maintaining a comprehensive understanding of partnership taxation is key to our collective success.
From the outset, you will be equipped with high-quality tools and resources to effectively address client needs, deliver impactful solutions, and enhance your professional growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining technical proficiency in Partnership (Subchapter K) tax regulations.
Supervising, training, and mentoring Senior Associates, Associates, and Interns on tax-related projects while evaluating staff performance during engagement reviews.
Leading various engagements.
Ensuring ongoing self-improvement within the Partnership Transactions Solutions group.
Creating Excel spreadsheets to document client-specific applications of key Subchapter K principles, including IRC 704(b) capital accounts, outside tax basis, inside basis adjustments, disguised sales, and IRC 751(b) hot asset sales/exchanges.
Applying IRC 704(c) principles when utilizing multi-layer separate asset methods or multi-layer netting methods.
Implementing IRC 743 and IRC 734 alongside the applications of IRC 755.
Facilitating client comprehension of Partnership (Subchapter K) tax development implications.
Encouraging collaboration across service lines and industries to deliver exceptional client service.
Engaging in effective interaction and teamwork with office, regional, and national leadership.
Leading and supporting business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, developing proposals, and pursuing client engagements.
Performing additional duties as assigned.
Required skills and qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
CPA certification is mandatory.
A minimum of ten years of experience in Partnership (Subchapter K) taxation at a prominent public accounting or law firm.
Preferred experience in partnership structuring, entity formation, and mergers & acquisitions.
Strong analytical, organizational, writing, and project management abilities.
Proficiency in preparing and interpreting Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a proven ability to cultivate and sustain excellent client relationships.
Demonstrated leadership, business development, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring capabilities, along with outstanding written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced, results-oriented team environment.
Willingness to travel as necessary.
