Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage customer source inspection documentation, ensuring compliance with all purchase orders and quality data requirements.
- Conduct thorough reviews of manufacturing processes to verify adherence to customer and internal standards.
- Oversee lot-by-lot release for all shipments, ensuring compliance with processing and quality specifications, including Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
- Compile and present complete documentation packages for source inspection and shipment approval.
- Perform dimensional inspections using standard methods and interpret customer blueprints to ensure accurate measurements.
- Collaborate with source inspection teams to address quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Report any defective parts or unusual conditions to management and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Engage in various quality assurance tasks as assigned by supervisors, including process verification audits.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to a manufacturing environment with potential noise, dust, and temperature variations. Must be able to work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; two-year technical degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably within the aerospace industry.
- Proficient in shop mathematics and blueprint interpretation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and precision measuring tools.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as this role involves direct interaction with customers.
- Ability to travel as necessary and complete required training within the first 90 days of employment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
- Capable of standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
- Must be able to work safely around machinery and wear necessary personal protective equipment.
