Mammography Technician II Job Description

Efficus, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality breast imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform breast imaging procedures, including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound, while adhering to MQSA and ACR guidelines.
  • Conduct and document quality control to ensure equipment is within safe limits.
  • Clearly communicate and educate patients prior to, during, and after breast imaging procedures.
  • Review and perform breast imaging examinations for technical accuracy and present completed examinations to the radiologist.
  • Assist with the management of the workflow of the department to ensure the completion of work assignments.
  • Organize, monitor, and order medical supply inventory to assure cost-effective departmental spending.
  • Participate in the orientation of new employees and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain 24 CEU credits according to A.R.R.T. guidelines every two years and stay current with CPR certification.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Documentation of Mammography training as per Radiologic Technologists regulation 21 CFR a)(2) required.
  • Documentation of Digital Mammography training as per Radiologic Technologists regulation 21 CFR a)(2) required.
  • Documentation of Tomosynthesis Mammography training as per Radiologic Technologists regulation 21 CFR a)(2) required.
