Role Overview

The primary objective of this position is to engage with manufacturing organizations, fostering consultative dialogues to identify and fulfill their requirements, ultimately driving sales growth. This role serves as the preferred liaison between our suppliers and manufacturing entities, acting as the technical authority that assists clients in achieving their objectives while promoting supplier products effectively. The overarching goal is to enhance market presence, surpass annual targets, and represent our suppliers with excellence within a designated geographical area.

Qualifications and Experience

A degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred: Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power Technology, Automation Robotics, Motion Control Technology, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand market share within a specific territory by nurturing existing accounts and acquiring new clients. This includes increasing sales with current customers and securing new business opportunities.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of focus products and practical understanding of additional product lines.
  • Proactively manage prospects, proposals, projects, and product offerings to address diverse sales opportunities across various industries and technologies.
  • Utilize the sales funnel process to identify, prioritize, and capture market share effectively.
  • Regularly update sales and funnel activities on a weekly basis.
  • Generate sales activity by scheduling three to five in-person client meetings daily.
  • Lead weekly team funnel meetings and actively participate in collaborative selling efforts.
  • Maximize supplier engagement during visits to enhance collective productivity.
  • Submit accurate monthly expense reports.
  • Engage in Action Selling and other training programs at Hartfiel, applying learned skills and techniques in daily operations.
  • Leverage Product Specialists and other internal and external resources as necessary to advance sales initiatives.
  • Employ critical thinking and consultative sales methods to offer innovative solutions rather than just components.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to all quality processes and procedures established by Hartfiel Automation.
  • Operate in alignment with Hartfiel Automation's mission, values, and vision.
