Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Enterprise Data to lead our data management and strategy efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our data management, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving data-driven improvements. Your role will involve setting the vision and strategy for enterprise data, mentoring team members, implementing data governance policies, ensuring data quality and accuracy, and fostering a data-driven culture within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise data strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Define and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data infrastructure, including data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data-related initiatives and projects that support business objectives.
- Drive data integration efforts to ensure seamless data flow across various systems and platforms.
- Establish and monitor data quality metrics and implement processes to improve data accuracy and integrity.
- Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to drive their professional growth.
- Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the field of enterprise data management and recommend relevant tools and solutions to enhance our data capabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address data-related challenges, and develop innovative solutions to improve data access, analysis, and reporting.
- Partner with sales and marketing leadership to enable data-driven revenue growth strategies.
- Champion a data-driven culture within the organization by promoting data literacy, advocating for data-driven decision-making, and fostering a strong data-driven mindset.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing enterprise data management.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, data architecture, and data integration methodologies.
- Experience with data management technologies such as MDM, data warehousing, ETL tools, data lakes, and business intelligence platforms.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices, such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering data projects on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the field of enterprise data management.
- Azure data services: SQL Server, Synapse, Cognitive Services
- Azure AI/ML services: Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, LLMs, Power BI AI Copilot, Azure Bot Service
- Microsoft Power Platform technologies
- Databricks, Unity Catalog
- Azure Purview (Data Governance)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or related field; or equivalent years of experience in the data field.
- 8-10 years working with enterprise-level data infrastructure, analytics, reporting, and governance.
