RN Care Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled RN Care Supervisor to join our team at HRA. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for supervising the delivery of resident care provided by licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the delivery of resident care services, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company standards.
- Monitor nursing care staff performance, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching and counseling as needed.
- Assign weekly blood pressure and weights to rotating shifts, and monitor staff in the administration of medication.
- Ensure that medications are properly stored, medication carts/cupboards are cleaned, and the medication room is organized according to standards.
- Observe residents' health status, take actions to address concerns within scope of practice, and report significant changes, reactions to medications, and treatment or significant incidents to the nurse and/or attending physician immediately.
- Conduct pre-admission screenings of prospective new residents, update resident records, and ensure that all required documentation is completed.
- Perform ongoing assessments of residents and coordinate with the nurse to ensure quality proactive care.
- Communicate with families regarding residents' personal needs and achievements, and remind them of scheduled physician, dental, or eye care appointments.
- Assist in organizing and developing service plan reviews, and explain procedures and treatments to residents to gain cooperation and understanding.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls from residents, perform daily and monthly safety and infection control checks, and coordinate monthly staff schedules.
- Ensure that in-house ancillary medical services are scheduled and followed through, and participate in department quality improvement activities.
- Current nursing (RN) licensure issued by the appropriate state licensing agency.
- Associates Degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Current ECC and/or CORE Training certification, as required.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in supervising and management.
- One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook software, with basic typing skills required.
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts.
- Able to calculate figures and amounts, manage revenue and expense budgets, and make independent decisions.
- Basic CPR/first aid training, and knowledge of current Federal and State laws pertaining to assisted living and/or memory care communities.
