Retail Inventory Strategist

The Store Analyst plays a crucial role in facilitating the company's financial objectives by assessing store performance and strategically distributing merchandise to enhance profitability across multiple departments. This position is essential in ensuring that all new product introductions are executed seamlessly, delivering an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Collaboration with merchants, planners, and field teams is vital to ensure the right mix and depth of inventory at each store.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the inventory strategy at the store level and/or designated groups.
• Implement initial product flows, manage replenishment, and oversee product transfers to maximize sales and optimize stock levels, achieving turnover goals at both department and division levels.
• Analyze individual store inventory, focusing on weeks on hand, supply levels, open-to-ship metrics, and ownership balance relative to deliveries and product flows.
• Collaborate with distribution center partners to ensure a steady inventory flow.
• Conduct reviews of the supply chain pipeline and identify challenges in inventory movement.
• Evaluate product performance across various metrics including style, region, district, and store levels.
• Generate reports and data for departmental analysis.
• Participate in weekly meetings with planning, allocation, and merchandising teams.
• Provide insights from stores regarding underperforming or high-performing products.
• Ensure clarity among stores regarding replenishment strategies, new product flows, and preparation for upcoming events.
• Manage allocations to align with sales forecasts, receipt flows, markdown strategies, and future orders.
• Work closely with the Senior Allocator to understand weekly strategies and execute allocations accordingly.
• Review assortment depth and breadth, complete distribution sheets, and present findings to the Allocation Manager.
• Develop, review, and manage size scales for new deliveries and store openings.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience (4+ years).
• 1-2 years of experience in a related field (Inventory Management, Allocation Analyst, Stock, Inventory Analyst, etc.).
• Experience in retail sales or stock management is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
• Commitment to productivity standards and continuous improvement.
• Proficient in basic mathematics and intermediate Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of presenting and recommending strategies to support business objectives.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.
• Travel may be necessary based on business requirements.
• Regular in-office presence is expected to foster team collaboration and engagement.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other relevant standards.
• Maintain regular and timely attendance.
• Capability to remain stationary for extended periods.
• Proficient in operating office equipment and utilizing computer systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively in various formats.
• Capability to reach at or below shoulder level and to carry equipment or move boxes.
