Position Overview:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Parkside Post Acute Care and Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities and ensuring a supportive environment that promotes both physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide personal care services such as grooming, bathing, and dressing to residents as needed.
2. Maintain cleanliness and organization in resident rooms, including changing bed linens and replenishing grooming supplies.
3. Assist residents with mobility and transfers, utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
4. Monitor and document vital signs, weight, and other health-related information as required.
5. Engage residents in meaningful activities and support their choices within the caregiving framework.
6. Collaborate with nursing staff to contribute to the development and implementation of care plans.
7. Ensure residents receive adequate hydration and nutritional support during meal times.
8. Maintain a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
9. Respond promptly to resident needs and assist with call light requests.
10. Participate in ongoing training and educational programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
1. Current Nursing Assistant Certification from the state.
2. CPR Certification is required.
3. High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
4. Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in providing care to the elderly and disabled.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Working Conditions:
This position may involve exposure to various health and safety risks, including infectious materials. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as shifts may include evenings, weekends, and emergency call-backs.

Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergencies.
2. Frequent walking, standing, and lifting of residents and equipment as necessary.
