We are seeking a highly skilled Power Plant Stationary Engineer to join our team at UMass Med School. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Co-Generation Facility, ensuring the production of steam, power, and refrigeration.
Key Responsibilities- Operate high pressure steam boilers, turbine generators, and related auxiliaries.
- Perform repairs to mechanical, electrical, and distribution systems.
- Monitor power demand and consumption, making adjustments as necessary.
- Operate electrical power systems, including the UPS, normal power distribution system, and emergency power system.
- Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and repair of all power plant equipment and instrumentation.
- Must hold a Massachusetts Third Class or higher grade Stationary Engineer's License.
- 1-2 years' experience in modern power plant operations.
- Possess strong safety practices and knowledge of high pressure, high voltage systems.
- Ability to work rotating shifts.
