Bilingual Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our Family Medicine Inpatient department, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, lead clinical teams, and contribute to a positive work environment.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, working within the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Assume relief charge duties, ensuring seamless operations and patient care continuity.
- Participate in orientation and precepting new personnel, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations and discharge planning.
- Administer medications, perform special tests and procedures, and maintain accurate patient medical records.
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, and attending in-services, meetings, and workshops.
- Current RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification within 30 days.
- Bilingual English/Spanish language proficiency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care and teamwork.
This position requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. The working environment may involve exposure to chemicals, biohazardous materials, and other hazards requiring personal protective equipment.
