Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As an LPN Outpatient Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and education in an ambulatory setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care and patient education to designated patients
  • Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures
  • Assist in patient needs assessment, triage, admission, transfer, and discharge processes
  • Develop patient care goals and administer medication as needed
  • Perform treatments at the nursing level and assist medical staff with complicated procedures

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New Mexico or a reciprocal agreement state
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification
  • 2 years of directly related experience (bilingual English/Spanish a plus)

Working Conditions:

  • Heavy work environment with potential exposure to chemicals and biohazardous materials
  • Limited access to medication rooms
