Job Title: Assistant to Adults with Developmental Disabilities

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant to Adults with Developmental Disabilities. As an Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily lives of our Core Members, who have intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care support to Core Members, including assistance with activities of daily living, meal preparation, transportation, and medication management.
  • Build relationships of mutual care and support with Core Members, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Participate in community life, including attending meetings, planning and attending seasonal holidays and community gatherings, and helping to create a positive and welcoming environment for all.
  • Model cooperative living and a positive attitude, demonstrating a strong commitment to our community's values and mission.
Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently.
  • Emotional maturity and ability to deal with tension and conflict.
  • Willingness to learn and take responsibility for one's self and others.
  • Ability to pass the Home Care Aide certification.
