About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MILSATCOM System Engineer to support our Protected MILSATCOM operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical expertise in MILSATCOM systems, management, and operations
  • Supporting the Protected Band Watch Officer (PBWO) in monitoring and maintaining global situational awareness for Milstar, AEHF, UFO-E/EE, IPS, and follow-on Protected constellations
  • Assisting users in resolving Protected MILSATCOM system-related issues
  • Gathering and consolidating constellation resource monitoring data from various sources
  • Performing operational impact assessments to determine global operational impacts of anomalies in Protected MILSATCOM
  • Researching, generating, releasing, updating, and closing SATCOM Event Messages (SEM) to Strategic Knowledge Integration Web (SKIWEB)
  • Acting in support role to the single, central focal point for all Protected SATCOM operations
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years prior experience working with MILSATCOM, including Milstar, AEHF, Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Follow On EHF/EHF-Enhanced (UFO-E/EE), Interim Polar System (IPS), and/or follow-on Protected MILSATCOM constellations
  • Knowledge of MILSATCOM software tools, including Mission Planning Element (MPE), EPS Control and Planning System (CAPS), Satellite Access Requests/Approvals (SAR/SAA), Joint SATCOM Management and Planning System (JSMPS), etc.
  • Experience in MILSATCOM satellite command and control (C2), payload and spacecraft health and monitoring, and/or Defensive/Offensive Counter Space (DCS/OCS)
  • Understanding of the Protected MILSATCOM management and user community, resource allocation, reporting, and strategic and tactical mission areas
  • Possess a working knowledge of the Protected MILSATCOM waveforms, payloads, and terminals
  • Comfortably and effectively speak in front of large groups
  • Independently conduct formal and informal training presentations
  • Work effectively as a team member, receiving and providing support, inputs, and direction
  • Outstanding attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to apply lessons learned in a dynamic work environment
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Current TOP SECRET SCI eligible, required
Pay Range:

$68,000-$74,000.00
