About the Role

Ridgeview Institute Smyrna is seeking a highly skilled Social Work professional to join our team as an Assessment and Referral Clinician.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing comprehensive mental health and substance abuse treatment services to patients and their loved ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate referrals and requests for services, collaborating with physicians to determine proper dispositions.
  • Provide technical assistance to the discharge planning process, under the direction of the Director of A&R.
  • Offer resources and support to callers and walk-ins, serving as the first point of contact for the community.
  • General support to the case management program.
Requirements
  • Education: Registered Nurse or Master's Degree in a human relations field preferred.
  • Experience: Preferably two or more years' experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting.
  • Licensure: Licensed to practice in the State of Georgia as a mental health professional, recommended.
  • Additional Requirements: A working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam, CPR/First Aid certification, and CPI training within 90 days of employment.
