Overview of the Payroll Specialist Role:
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist who has strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for providing exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in payroll management and be able to ensure accuracy in payroll calculations, including wages, deductions, and taxes.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:

  • Process payroll for a diverse workforce in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Ensure accuracy in payroll calculations, including wages, deductions, and taxes.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and audits.
  • Collaborate with HR to update employee records and maintain accurate data.
  • Stay current with payroll legislation and best practices.

Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.
  • Customer service skills a must.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Must have intermediate Excel skills, i.e. pivot tables, v look ups, etc.
