Position Overview:

The role involves supporting the assessment and treatment of patients under the guidance of a registered nurse or healthcare provider.

Key Responsibilities:

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Assists with medical procedures as directed by the healthcare provider or registered nurse, performing designated clinical tasks.
  • Conducts patient interviews, records vital signs, and updates patient records accordingly. Prepares examination rooms for patient assessments.
  • Performs essential administrative tasks such as answering calls, maintaining patient records, scheduling appointments, and organizing files.
  • Manages inventory by ordering and restocking medical supplies, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • May document patient-provider interactions, accurately noting diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as directed by the provider. Transcribes orders for laboratory tests, imaging studies, and medications.
  • Maintains a vigilant and safe working environment.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or GED, or equivalent experience of 10 years in a relevant field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • No prior experience necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Continuous standing and walking.
  • Regularly utilizes auditory and verbal communication skills.
  • Frequently listens for bodily sounds and alerts.
  • Regularly lifts, carries, and moves objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Engages in frequent reaching, gripping, and data entry tasks.
  • Utilizes vision for close and distant tasks, distinguishing colors effectively.
  • Occasionally bends, stoops, crawls, kneels, sits, squats, and performs repetitive movements.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • And
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

  • Or other relevant certifications as listed.
