Senior Customer Service Representative - Chambers Bank

Position Overview

The Senior Customer Service Representative will play a pivotal role in overseeing and mentoring fellow Customer Service Representatives and Lead Customer Service Representatives in all facets of their roles. This position demands a commitment to excellence, exemplifying professionalism, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere, and demonstrating comprehensive job knowledge in sales and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients consistently, adhering to established service protocols.
  • Represent Chambers Bank with professionalism at all times.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality and privacy of customer information.
  • Execute all established teller functions, including processing deposits, cashing checks, and managing withdrawals, while adhering to cash handling protocols.
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer, following required balancing standards and cash limits.
  • Open various deposit accounts, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
  • Lead by example in sales and product knowledge, serving as a resource for the team.
  • Ensure adherence to security protocols to mitigate risks to the bank.
  • Assist customers with inquiries in person and via phone, resolving issues effectively.
  • Coach and motivate the retail team towards achieving branch sales objectives.
  • Facilitate training for new and existing staff members under the guidance of management.
  • Conduct monthly audits and prepare necessary reports.
  • Perform administrative tasks as required to support branch operations.
  • Maintain a safe and alert working environment.

Supervisory Duties

This role includes supervisory responsibilities, ensuring compliance with the bank's policies and equal employment opportunity guidelines. Responsibilities include conducting performance evaluations, managing disciplinary actions, and overseeing daily departmental activities.

Work Environment

The position is primarily office-based, requiring a range of physical activities including writing, speaking, and operating various office equipment.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of three years of experience in a customer service role or a comparable position.

Skills and Competencies

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, effective communication abilities, and leadership experience to train and evaluate staff. Proficiency in computer operations and familiarity with office software is essential.
