**Job Overview**

Synectics Inc is seeking a highly skilled Medical Collection Specialist to join our team in a float position. As a key member of our patient service center, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our phlebotomy services.

**Estimated Salary:** $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

**About the Role**

The Medical Collection Specialist - Float Position represents the face of Synectics Inc to patients who come to us for medical testing and treatment. Your primary responsibility will be to draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.

You will have direct contact with patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.

As a Medical Collection Specialist, you will also provide coverage at multiple locations for multiple roles, ensuring that daily activities of the Patient Service Center/Mobile/Long Term Care/In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Five years' phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Covid Booster and recent Flu 2024-2025 vaccination required.
