Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Member Services Representative at Planet Fitness - Fitton Clubs. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a superior Judgement Free member experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service/Front Desk Activities:
    • Provide a warm and welcoming experience for members and guests, ensuring a positive first impression.
    • Answer phone calls in a friendly and professional manner, assisting callers with a variety of questions and concerns.
    • Check members in, tour, and sign up new members, logging amenities and communicating updates and events to members and guests.
    • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, exceeding their expectations.
    • Conduct beverage or merchandise purchases on the point-to-sale system.
    • Utilize the POS system to assist with new membership cards, change of address, and billing or payment questions.
  • Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:
    • Ensure the front desk area and lobby are clean and orderly, exceeding our high standards.
    • Regularly clean and maintain the facility, including mopping up spills under equipment, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
    • Regularly clean all exercise equipment and tanning beds, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our members.
    • Regularly clean and stock the restrooms and wet areas, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Applicants for an overnight position must submit to a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire, with continued employment based on a satisfactory outcome.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding their expectations.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School diploma/GED equivalent is required.
  • Upbeat, positive, and professional attitude, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
  • Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within the required timeframe, with the ability to perform CPR in the event of a medical emergency.
