Cardiac Surgery Advanced Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Surgery Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Hartford Hospital.
The successful candidate will support patient care from the point of admission to discharge, managing pre-operative and post-operative cardiac surgical patients within Hartford Hospital. Responsibilities include performing H&P, assessing and documenting patient progress, participating in attending rounds, collaborating with consultants and specialties, and engaging in independent decision-making.

Hartford HealthCare supports Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners in practice through the Office of Advanced Practice, directed by Sarah Clark, MBA, MHS, PA-C, BSN, RN, System Director of Advanced Practice. We provide extensive training and supervision for skills such as arterial lines, central lines, feeding tubes, and transplant management.
The ideal candidate will have an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible) and be certified or board-eligible as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. New graduates are welcome to apply. Experience in a cardiac and/or critical care setting is preferred.
