JOB SUMMARY:


Assists the Technical Lead and/or management as a Crew Chief to oversee the activities of technicians across all designated venues, ensuring the technical quality of shows by executing the following responsibilities.

Aids in the operation and execution of entertainment performances.

Leads the crew and utilizes advanced knowledge in managing control systems for audio, video, lighting, projection, special effects, and show action equipment.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


Acts as Crew Chief directing daily operations of technical elements assigned within venues/events, which includes but is not limited to opening and closing procedures, setup and teardown, manual cue triggering, and maintaining show quality standards.

Accountable for the successful execution of high-complexity live performances and/or technical presentations, ensuring careful implementation of show elements/cues to uphold show quality.

Provides assistance with other job functions as required.

Assists in delegating work tasks to qualified technicians. Supports the initiation and conclusion of work activities and fills in for shows when necessary. Facilitates communication and coordination with the Technical Lead and/or management as needed. Communicates resource requirements and work plans to ensure effective communication among technicians, Technical Leads, and other management personnel.

Monitors team member productivity and adherence to technical entertainment standards, safety protocols, grooming guidelines, driving regulations, radio usage policies, and other company policies.

Reports any instances of non-compliance to the relevant venue and/or technical leadership.

Assists in the technical training and implementation of all training materials. Maintains and shares job knowledge and aids in the development of team members.

Assists with the inventory of tools, equipment, materials, and other company property, ensuring proper care, maintenance, and storage practices are upheld. Ensures a safe working environment and assists with regular inspections. Notifies management of any material needs or safety concerns.

Troubleshoots and identifies technical issues, escalating to the appropriate maintenance team and management when necessary.

Ensures proper completion of all technical documentation, including daily checklists, standard operating procedures, daily updates, inventory, and other relevant documentation. Completes required training documentation, including assessments and checklists.


Accountable for strictly adhering to all policies and procedures as defined by the Entertainment Department, governing the safe operation of all technical equipment.


Actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policies, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Technical school:
is preferred.

Associate degree (AA): is preferred.

Bachelor's degree:
is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:


3-5 years' experience utilizing advanced control systems, likely within the theme park/theater industry in a technical role preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proven ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Prior experience with advanced show control systems such as Medialon, Ovation, Alcorn McBride, Birket, Allen Bradley, QSYS, and Navigator.

Advanced knowledge in technical disciplines necessary to operate assigned venues.

Basic computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office suite

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Florida Driver's License

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
