Position Overview:
This role serves as a training opportunity aimed at cultivating the skills necessary to oversee and manage the operations of an independent living community. The training encompasses various aspects, including service quality, facility maintenance, and financial objectives.
The position may involve responsibilities in resident relations, human resources, communications, financial oversight, marketing, operational planning, facility maintenance, administration, quality assurance, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to assess the effectiveness of community operations and recommend enhancements.
- Implement marketing strategies to maximize occupancy and meet Fair Housing targets.
- Prepare and distribute a monthly newsletter for residents, sharing updates on community policies, activities, and relevant information.
- Conduct regular inspections of campus and common areas to ensure safety, security, and maintenance standards are upheld.
- Foster positive relationships with staff, residents, vendors, and stakeholders to promote a supportive community environment.
- Assist in developing the annual budget, monitor financial performance, and make necessary adjustments to achieve financial goals.
- Prepare documentation for financial transactions and reporting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience working with elderly populations.
Skills and Competencies: This role requires strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders. Managerial and interpersonal skills are essential, along with proficiency in fiscal management and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
The selected candidate must successfully complete Eskaton's pre-employment assessments, which include background checks and health screenings.
