Job Title: Direct Support Professional II

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional II to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional II, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional II will provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This role requires a high level of empathy, patience, and understanding, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Support individuals with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with meal preparation and clean-up
  • Encourage and support individuals to participate in recreational activities and social events
  • Monitor and report any changes in an individual's behavior or health
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience in caregiving or a related field preferred
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
