Business Systems Analyst

Charlestown, MA - 100% Remote, but prefer candidates open to hybrid on-site

Job Summary:

Under limited supervision, the Business Systems Analyst supports IT goals and objectives by working closely with Project Managers, IT Managers, and business stakeholders to ensure application development and implementation meets the business requirements. The successful candidate will work with internal and external off-site Project Managers, Technical Designers and Developers, and other key stakeholders to identify and document requirements and use cases in a manner that is accurate and meaningful to business and IT professionals.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with Project Managers and other key stakeholders to develop and document requirements and use cases in a clear, accurate, and meaningful manner.
  • Facilitate IT and business use case walk-thru sessions.
  • Mentor less experienced Business Systems Analysts and review use case documentation for constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Perfict Global, Inc.'s business practices and the applications/systems that support them.
  • Work with IT and business users to evaluate options and recommend solutions in line with IT and/or business architecture.
  • Develop reusable templates and maintain Business Systems Analyst methodology.
  • Prepare documentation using tools such as Visio, Word, and Excel.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills, as well as accuracy and attention to details.
  • Demonstrated progressive levels of responsibility, experience, and leadership.
  • Demonstrable ability to interact effectively with people at all levels from multiple areas of the company.
  • Understanding of IT environment and architecture.
  • BS or equivalent and 5-7+ years' experience in computer sciences or related field, or equivalent combination.
Required Experience:
  • At least 5+ years of work experience as a Business System Analyst, Business Analyst, or equivalent experience.
  • Healthcare/Insurance experience preferred.
  • General understanding of claims operations (adjudication and processing) preferred.
  • Experience in writing Function requirement Specification (FRS) / Functional Specification document (FSD) from the Business Requirement Document (BRD).
  • SQL Experience preferred.
