Position Summary

We are currently seeking a PC Support Technician to become a vital part of our team.

The selected candidate will provide essential support to the US Army Corrections Command (ACC) Army Corrections Brigade (ACB) G6. The role involves delivering comprehensive computer hardware and software services to end users, ensuring the efficient operation of government IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer help desk support and troubleshoot issues, providing temporary solutions when necessary.
  • Respond to user inquiries, delivering technical assistance on PC systems, hardware, software, and standard applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain PC/server hardware and software.
  • Manage software upgrades and optimize operating systems for enhanced performance.
  • Set up network interfaces and Internet connections.
  • Diagnose and resolve network cable and configuration issues.
  • Install and maintain specialized software, ensuring proper setup.
  • Coordinate support efforts with the local Network Enterprise Center.
  • Address support tickets for Training Management Directorate (TMD) users.
  • Develop and implement organization-wide standards for current and future information systems.
  • Provide on-call support outside of standard working hours for unscheduled events or planned service interruptions.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance (willing to sponsor the right candidate).
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or an IAT Level I Certification (CompTIA A+ CE equivalent or higher).
  • At least two years of relevant experience.
  • Training in Windows workstation systems administration.
  • Must possess and maintain CE certification in MS Server 2016, Server 2019, Windows 10, or Microsoft Modern Desktop.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance.
  • IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE equivalent or higher).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Self-motivated individual requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
