Job Title: Sales Specialist - Blending and Formulation

Join ABB's global team and take your next career step in a dynamic and innovative environment. As a Sales Specialist - Blending and Formulation, you will play a key role in driving business growth and success in the Paints and Adhesives market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell products, systems, and services to end-users and Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC's) bundling, Modular Skids Engineered Packages including Mechanical, Electrical Instruments, and Automation Systems with a focus on reaching profitability targets for BL Blending.
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand their needs, promote their understanding of ABB's complete product, systems, and services offering, and align with them to provide a solution.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Prepare sales plans using ABB authorized tools.
  • Perform regular status reviews and propose recovery plans in case of any potential order shortfalls.
  • Create added value for the customer and ABB and ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques.
  • Communicate to the customers about the details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions in line with ABB's offering and strategy.
  • Ensure efficient marketing activities and communicate value proposition to customers.
  • Identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.
  • Manage administrative procedures in sales processes and support cash collection and project management activities when needed.
  • Prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager.
  • Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers are in place, including prices and trading conditions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Engineering preferred or related technical field with minimum eight (8) years of experience, including a minimum of 4 years in blending and formulation systems, preferably in the Paints and Adhesives market.
  • 3 plus years of experience in Account management, business development, and adoption, sales enablement within direct sales and/or sales management.
  • Proven customer experience success.
  • Experience of engagement with paint, resins, adhesives, lubricant, and grease customers. Pulp & Paper experience is an added value.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 60%.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
