Job Summary
Dewberry is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Survey Field Technician I to join our team as a member of a survey crew. As a Survey Field Technician I, you will be responsible for performing land surveying and as-built related activities, assisting the Party Chief in conducting land surveys, and maintaining surveying equipment and survey vehicle inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform land surveying and as-built related activities, including data collection and analysis.
- Assist the Party Chief in conducting land surveys, including determining and retracing survey boundary lines to establish property corners.
- Maintain surveying equipment and survey vehicle inventory, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Prepare reports and maintain records of survey activities, including data collection and analysis.
- Perform related work as assigned, including working in a safe manner and obeying all safety regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum 1 year of field experience preferred.
- Basic math competency and knowledge of survey computer programs and survey computations applicable to the work.
- Familiarity with surveying instruments and equipment, including their use and care.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains, including repetitive stooping, crawling, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Ability to pass DOT drug/alcohol testing and background check.
