Job Summary

Dewberry is seeking a highly skilled Survey Field Technician I to join our team in Lanham, MD. As a member of our survey crew, you will perform boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct land surveys and as-built related activities.
  • Assist the Party Chief in conducting land surveys for the determination and retracement of survey boundary lines.
  • Maintain surveying equipment and survey vehicle inventory.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records as required.
  • Perform related work as assigned.
  • Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be physically able to work outdoors and on construction sites under all weather conditions and terrains.
  • Must be dependable and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required; prefer minimum 1 year of field experience.
  • Basic math competency and knowledge of survey computer programs and survey computations.
  • Familiarity with surveying instruments and equipment and their use and care.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently.
  • Must be able to pass DOT drug/alcohol testing and background check.
  • Must be willing and able to travel for extended periods for out of town work.
