Warehouse Sanitation Specialist

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Compensation: $18.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate cleaning machinery, including scrubbers and pallet jacks.
  • Support fellow staff with minor maintenance tasks such as painting.
  • Utilize cleaning tools like brooms, vacuums, buffers, and shampooers throughout the facility.
  • Perform thorough cleaning activities including sweeping, dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, vacuuming floors, and emptying waste receptacles.
  • Execute additional tasks assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Manager and/or Operations Manager, including cleaning racks, fire safety equipment, windows, restrooms, breakrooms, and pallet slots.
  • Prepare cleaning solutions to the correct concentrations, restock soap, towels, and tissue supplies, and complete related duties.
  • Maintain exterior areas as required, including snow removal from walkways and exits, and may operate snow removal machinery.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Capability to read and comprehend cleaning instructions.
  • Proficiency in working on ladders and in confined spaces safely.
  • Capacity to work in varying temperatures for extended periods (freezer, cooler, and dry areas).
  • Understanding of safe operation of all cleaning equipment (buffers, scrubbers, scissor lifts, and pallet jacks).
