About the Role

The Capital Project Manager is a key position responsible for delivering capital projects and ensuring timely and cost-effective achievement of business objectives. This role requires strong leadership skills, project management experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver capital projects within agreed budgets and schedules
  • Collaborate with key customer groups to develop budgets and project priorities
  • Ensure efficient and timely Front End Loading (FEL) requirements for all projects
  • Lead the development and implementation of a total safety culture for Project Delivery
  • Ensure compliance with Alcoa's safety philosophy, values, and objectives
  • Develop and maintain a strategic plan for the location's capital needs over the longer term
  • Ensure project delivery processes are consistently applied at the location
  • Ensure strong and sustainable customer relationships with key stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Proven track record of leading sophisticated and/or high-dollar value projects
  • Project Management experience within an industrial environment
  • Experience managing contractors
  • PMP certification preferred
