Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Warehouse Operations Director to lead our warehouse operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with a proven track record of driving efficiency and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and develop a high-performing warehouse management team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
    • Mentor and coach team members to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure all warehouse operations comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
    • Develop and implement safety training programs for warehouse employees.
  • Inventory Management
    • Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
    • Implement best practices for inventory management, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
  • Cost Management
    • Manage the warehouse budget, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
    • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing warehouse operations, reducing waste, and improving productivity.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with project teams and other service centers to ensure seamless operations and meet production schedules.
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
  • Customer Focus
    • Ensure that warehouse operations meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations in terms of accuracy, timeliness, and quality.
    • Develop and implement customer satisfaction initiatives to improve customer loyalty.
    Requirements
    • 12+ years of experience in warehousing, 7+ as a warehouse manager or director.
    • BS degree, or equivalent experience with a high school diploma.
    • In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse.
    • Familiarity with bookkeeping, inventory control practices, and logistics.
    • Comfortable using inventory management software and other organizational computer applications.
    • Good grasp of manufacturing concepts, including inventory staging, cycle counts, inventory controls, and inventory costing and reporting for materials for projects, work-in-process, and finished goods.
    • Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to set goals, motivate, and manage conflict.
    • Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
    • Great interpersonal skills.
    • Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
    • Exceptional time management and organization skills.
    • U.S. Citizenship required.
