Role Overview:
This position is crucial for delivering operational support for existing manufacturing processes and spearheading initiatives aimed at process enhancement. The engineer will also contribute to capital projects focused on the installation of new production equipment and facilities. This role serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for aseptic manufacturing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and refine both new and established processes.
- Mitigate sources of contamination, waste, and risk.
- Enhance operational efficiency and product yield.
- Identify and implement corrective measures.
- Lead projects aimed at risk mitigation and process optimization without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant experience in a leadership capacity concerning the design, implementation, validation, optimization, and troubleshooting of aseptic manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Familiarity with processes such as:
- Bioreactors
- Fermenters
- Concentration and filtration
- Chromatography
- Cell propagation
- CIP/SIP (Clean-In-Place and Sterilize-In-Place)
Educational Background:
- Over eight years of relevant engineering or scientific experience in a GMP environment.
- Knowledge of GAMP Automation practices and documentation.
- Basic understanding of Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.
- Minimum five years of project leadership experience.
- Proficiency in utilizing and leading recognized process optimization methodologies in a manufacturing context.
