Dental Hygienist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team at Pelican Park Dental Care. As a leading provider of dental care services, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters growth and development.
About the RoleThis is a full-time opportunity for a Dental Hygienist to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the success of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for delivering high-quality care and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services to patients, including cleanings, exams, and education.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction with their care.
- Collaborate with our dental team to deliver seamless and efficient patient care.
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices, participating in ongoing education and training opportunities.
- Current dental hygienist license in LA and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required).
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation.
- CPR Certification.
- Clinical experience.
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.
