Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Analyst to join our Digital Finance team at Vistant. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission to foster the development of open, inclusive, and secure digital finance ecosystems and economies worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in researching, planning, analyzing, and organizing technical and/or statistical information for use in briefings, publications, and reports.
  • Assemble, analyze, and communicate facts, evidence, and expert opinions on relevant issues related to digital financial services and digital development.
  • Help cultivate relationships with and coordinate with other Bureaus, Missions, and partners to ensure alignment with complementary programs within and external to the Agency.
  • Support the management of high-level relationships with external partners, including private sector partners, program leads, and donor community.
  • Consult with relevant pillar and regional bureaus and missions to reflect broader agency needs and requirements within emerging partnerships.
  • Consult with other federal agencies to identify synergies and areas of further level.
  • Prepare or coordinate preparation of reports, briefings, conferences, publications, training, and other means of promoting wide understanding of improved knowledge and methods.
  • Stay abreast of new developments and emerging issues by attending meetings, workshops, and conferences and formulate recommendations for USAID steps in response to these developments and share them with colleagues.
  • Initiate contacts with USAID employees to develop news and learnings from the Agency's work in digital financial services. Identify common trends across the Agency's work.
  • Provide coordination support on program activities, particularly programs related to research.
  • Provide technical assistance as requested or assigned and work with USAID staff on digital finance-related activities.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years' professional experience, including positions working for or supporting social enterprises and/or businesses, impact evaluations, venture capital, management consulting, financial services, impact investing, and/or grant-making.
  • Experience and knowledge of digital financial services, financial inclusion, payments, fintech, or MSME finance.
  • Experience implementing, supporting, or measuring programs in developing country contexts is preferred.
  • Track record of solving problems by identifying areas for improvement, iterating, and delivering results.
  • Track record of building trusted relationships with partners.
  • Experience working with a variety of key stakeholders from different countries and cultural backgrounds.

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree is encouraged, preferably in International Affairs, Communications, Economics, Public Policy, Technology, Business, or related fields. Master's Degree preferred with at least one year of experience. At least 6 years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
  • For a Bachelor's Degree, at least 3-5 years' professional experience, including positions working for or supporting social enterprises and/or businesses, impact evaluations, venture capital, management consulting, financial services, impact investing, and/or grant-making.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.

Place of Performance:

  • Washington, DC - Ronald Reagan Building (RRB). On-site support with limited telework.

Travel Requirements:

  • Limited International and Domestic Travel.

Salary Requirements:

  • $82,000 - $107,000.
  • The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Vistant considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
