Key Responsibilities:
As a Lead Tax Specialist, you will oversee and execute essential tax compliance tasks for both individuals and corporations, which include:
- Preparing and reviewing Federal and State income tax submissions
- Engaging in tax planning and forecasting
- Conducting tax research, resolving issues, and managing correspondence
- Handling client information requests and deliverables
- Ensuring the precise and timely submission of federal, state, and local tax filings
- Upholding quality standards throughout the process
- Supporting special tax projects and initiatives
- Collaborating effectively with staff, clients, and management
- Assisting with firm-wide initiatives as needed

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in public accounting
- CPA or EA certification is preferred or in progress
- Comprehensive understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Familiarity with federal and state tax regulations
- Strong computer proficiency with experience in various applications; familiarity with client software is a plus
- Proficient in UltraTax or similar tax software, QuickBooks, and other accounting tools
- Research-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail along with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills
- Positive demeanor and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Adaptable to change, capable of managing multiple priorities and projects while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment
