Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Senior Accountant to become an integral part of our finance team within the construction sector. This permanent role presents a unique opportunity to significantly impact our dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will manage all accounting functions, including Monthly Reporting, Accounts Receivable (A/R), and Financial Statements. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required for this pivotal role in maintaining our financial integrity and ensuring project viability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounting functions including Billing, A/R, A/P, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, reporting variances accordingly.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reports.
  • Research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
  • Manage compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on Non-Profit or Government Compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience with Monthly Reporting, A/R, and Financial Statements.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements.
  • Proficient in accounting software and administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
