Medical Biller

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Biller to join our dynamic team at Jobot. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of medical billing, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies and payers.

• Accurately submit claims to insurance companies on a timely basis.
• Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims.
• Verify patients' insurance coverage and handle collections and unpaid accounts.
• Answer patients' billing questions and handle complaints.
• Perform billing and reimbursement procedures for all types of insurance.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the billing process, including data entry, payment posting, and follow-up on denied claims.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all federal and state laws regarding medical information.
• Assist with audits and data collection for accurate reporting.
• Update billing software with rate changes and new billing codes.
• Provide training and support to the billing team as needed.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Biller or a similar role in the medical industry.
• Proficient in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of medical billing regulations, medical terminology, and insurance practices.
• Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, including coding, reimbursement, insurance, and collections.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and insurance companies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data and billing information.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-volume environment.
• Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) would be an advantage.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
