We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at Mercy. As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets and Directs Patients: Greet patients and visitors, instruct them on the check-in process, and direct them to the appropriate area.
  • Performs Administrative Duties: Performs a variety of clerical duties, including retrieving insurance and patient information, providing forms for tests or interoffice communications, and securing signatures as needed.
  • Manages Schedules: Monitors and revises physician schedules as appropriate to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Handles Patient Care Activities: Performs patient care activities within the scope of data entry/processing and patient account functions, including establishing payment plans and collecting payments.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One year experience in a medical office setting preferred.
