Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in managing steel fabrication and erection projects.
  • In-depth understanding of structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the construction sector.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting sketches and blueprints, including design, construction, architectural, and subcontractor drawings.
  • Self-driven with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capable of delivering work accurately and efficiently within set timelines.
  • Familiarity with AISC and PCI standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and address their needs promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in initial project meetings to understand and discuss new assignments.
  • Coordinate project sequencing and address any specific job-related issues with General Contractors.
  • Review and validate RFI submissions from detailers, ensuring timely communication with General Contractors.
  • Monitor all submittals and advocate for prompt responses.
  • Assess approval returns for accuracy before forwarding to detailers.
  • Address any RFI's, ASI's, and revisions without delay.
  • Maintain communication with field superintendents to confirm delivery timelines.
  • Engage with detailers regarding job releases for fabrication.
  • Review shop drawings labeled 'Released for Fab' for precision and completeness.
  • Prepare Buy-Out lists as necessary.
  • Update project schedules as required.
  • Coordinate delivery dates and logistics for joists and decks.
  • Promptly address and resolve any field-related issues.
  • Document any detailing challenges and collaborate with detailers for resolution.
